So Wimbledon has finished for another year and new have one new champion and one old champion!
It was great to see Garbiñe Muguruza win and she did so in great style and showing no signs of nerves. It was a different story in the mens final with red hot favourite Roger Federer wining easily in straight sets. His opponent Cilic had an injury to his foot which did not help things. I think for Federer to win without losing a set says something, sure he’s a great champion but for me more that he’s taken advantage of the demise of his rivals. Murray injured, Djokovic injured and out of sorts, Wawrinka, injured, I was hoping for Nadal to come through but I guess after winning the French for a 10 time he was perhaps tired? Don’t get me wrong Federer is a great champion but this year he didn’t even break sweat! There has to be some more guys out there who are ready to step up and perform!
Lastly on the subject of “the greatest” I personally think the Rafa Nadal is the greatest for anyone to win 10 French open titles in the hardest to win of grandslams it has to be him!
